Humban-Numena (or Kumban-Numena) was a king of Elam from the Igihalkid dynasty ( Middle Elamite Period, mid-14th century BCE). He was a son and successor of King Attar-kittah. [a] He married a daughter of the Kassite king Kurigalzu, [2] [4] who bore him Untash-Napirisha, [b] who was thus a grandson of Kurigalzu. [7] [6] According to another interpretation of the primary source, he married the daughter of his uncle Pahir-ishshan, himself the son of a Kassite princess, and was thus a great-grandson of Kurigalzu. [1] [8]
Goldberg (2004) suggested that the passage of the letter "Pahiranu-dU [married] ... of the mighty king Kurigalzu, Humban-immeni [married] his daughter" implies Humban-numena (Humban-immeni) married the daughter of Pahir-ishshan who was born through the marriage to the daughter of Kurigalzu.
Thus the eldest son of Igihalki, Pahir - ishshan (c.1380–1370 BC ), married the eldest daughter of Kurigalzu I; their grandson Humban - numena married a Kassite princess
the eldest son of Igi-halki, Pahir-ishshan (ca. 1380–1370 BC), married the eldest daughter of Kurigalzu I; their grandson Humban-numena married a Kassite princess
That king, Untash- Napirisha, was Burna-Buriash's first cousin: both were grandsons of a Babylonian king named Kurigalzu
