Hugh D Weibgen (born 28 October 2004) is an Australian cricketer. He is a right handed batsman and right-arm off break bowler.
He attended Brisbane Grammar School. [1] He played club cricket for Valley Cricket Club. [2]
Weibgen was named as part of the Queensland Bulls side for the 2023-2024 season on a rookie contract. [3] Despite a back injury limiting his availability during the 2023-24 season, he was upgraded to a full-time contract with Queensland in April 2024. [4]
He captained the Australia national under-19 cricket team at the 2024 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in South Africa. [5] During the tournament he scored a century against England U19 on 31 January 2024. [6] His Australia U19 team won the tournament. [7] [8] Weibgen was selected for ESPNcricinfo's Team of the Tournament with an average of 50.66 and a strike rate of 83. [9]
