Howmeh Rural District ( Persian: دهستان حومه) is in the Central District of Abhar County, Zanjan province, Iran. [3] Its former capital was the village of Sharifabad. [4]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 12,543 in 3,259 households. [5] There were 6,448 inhabitants in 1,890 households at the following census of 2011. [6] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 6,045 in 1,982 households. The most populous of its 33 villages was Qerveh, with 2,686 people. [2]
