Heraklion (Greek: Ἡράκλειον; alternative spellings: Iraklio, Iraklion, Irakleio, Herakleion) is a Greek city name referring to Herakles and most notably used for Heraklion, the administrative capital and largest city of Crete and the fifth largest in Greece.
