Harinder Kaur Sidhu AM is an Australian diplomat, currently serving as the High Commissioner of Australia to New Zealand.
She was born to Punjabi parents in Singapore. In 1974, she moved to Australia with her parents. [1] She studied at the University of Sydney, obtaining a bachelor's degree in economics in 1985 and an LLB in 1987. [2]
In 2016, she was appointed the Australian high commissioner to India. [3]
In 2022, she was appointed the Australian high commissioner to New Zealand.
Sidhu was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in the 2024 Australia Day Honours for her "significant service to public administration, and to foreign affairs". [4]
She is married and has one daughter.[ citation needed]
