Hanza ( Persian: هنزا) [a] is a city in, and the capital of, Hanza District of Rabor County, Kerman province, Iran. [4] It also serves as the administrative center for Hanza Rural District. [5]
At the 2006 census, its population was 2,388 in 506 households, when it was a village in the former Rabor District of Baft County). [6] The following census in 2011 counted 1,309 people in 415 households, [7] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Rabor County. [8] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,452 people in 460 households, [2] when the village been elevated to the status of a city. [4]
