The Handelszeitung is a German-language Swiss weekly newspaper. [1] The paper was established in 1861 being the oldest business newspaper in Switzerland. [2] It is controlled by Axel Springer Schweiz AG. [1] The paper is published on Wednesdays and has a liberal political leaning. [2]

Its head office is in Zürich. [3] As of 2014, Stefan Barmettler was the editor-in-chief of the paper. [1] In 2019 the circulation of Handelszeitung was 37.500 copies. [2]
