Hajjilar Rural District ( Persian: دهستان حاجيلار) [3] is a former administrative division of Chaypareh District of Khoy County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran. [4] Its capital was the village of Hajjilar. [5]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 8,856 in 1,953 households. [2]
After the census, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Chaypareh County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Qarah Zia ol Din as its capital and only city at the time. Hajjilar Rural District was renamed Hajjilar-e Jonubi Rural District and was transferred to the new Hajjilar District. [6]
