Haemogamasus is a genus of
mites in the family
Haemogamasidae.
[1] In North America, they mostly infect
rodents, in addition to other small mammals such as
shrews,
talpids, and
Virginia opossums.

An unidentified immature Haemogamasus has been found on the
marsh rice rat (Oryzomys palustris) in Georgia.
