History
Grass Township was founded about 1816, and named for Daniel Grass. [5] Daniel Grass was one of the first pioneer settlers in the area. [6]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 45.69 square miles (118.3 km2), of which 45.36 square miles (117.5 km2) (or 99.28%) is land and 0.33 square miles (0.85 km2) (or 0.72%) is water. [7]
