Some of Giannini and Hilgart's window designs

Giannini and Hilgart is a studio established in 1899 which manufactured stained glass windows. [1] It was formed by Orlando Giannini, a Swiss-Italian from Ohio, and Frederick Hilgart, born in Germany. [2] [3]

The studio created and designed colorful glass windows for businesses, homes, churches, [4] [5] [6] fireplaces, [7] and mantels. Frank Lloyd Wright [8] worked with Giannini and Hilgart to produce his prairie-style windows. George Maher was another client of Giannini and Hilgart. [2] The studio also manufactured pottery. [9] The original firm was in the Chicago Loop area. [10]
