Galleh Dar ( Persian: گلهدار) [a] is a city in, and the capital of, Galleh Dar District of Mohr County, Fars province, Iran. [4] It also serves as the administrative center for Galleh Dar Rural District. [5]
At the 2006 census, its population was 9,982 in 1,995 households. [6] The following census in 2011 counted 11,354 people in 2,648 households. [7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 13,448 people in 3,589 households. [2]
According to a 1939 publication of the anthropologist Henry Field, 4,500 Circassians lived in Galleh Dar. [8]
