Request for Deletion (Duplicate of talk entry on the Wikimedia Commons talk page)

A friend of the man in this photograph recently contacted me, the photographer and uploader of this picture, to inform me that the photo subject had passed away. She was upset because "He was a very good person and maybe overweight but dedicated to the history of the civil war." I didn't even know the term "farb" before I uploaded this photograph, and the labeling added to it by the Wikipedia community, in several Civil War reenactment articles seems to have harmed this gentleman's reputation. As the photographer and uploader, I therefore request that the image be removed. As I had already released it for use under the GNU Free Document License, I don't know whether I any longer have any control over it. Can someone please help me out? Thank you. Someone else posted a similar request at Talk:Farb (reenactment)#Honoring fallen comrades, and I've responded there. Having released it under the GFDL, I don't think you can take it back (though I'm not sure), but you might consider some of the other options I've suggested there for replacing this photo in the articles.
