Records Continuum Model

Purpose of use in article ( WP:NFCC#8)

The article describes the Records Continuum Model and provides a table, but the actual model is a diagram and it must be viewed in order to understand the complexity of the model's purpose. The table does not adequately describe or show the multi-dimensional aspects of the model.

I am working with the author of the model to change licensing to Creative Commons. He freely allows publication of the model whenever requested in print and digital media (I have requested this permission for my own work), but the model itself is his intellectual property. This is why it was given the copyright symbol in the first place back in 1996. However, there are multiple versions of it that can be found via a Google image search. He has never asked for these to be removed.

Minimal use ( WP:NFCC#3)

The file is used to illustrate the specific article.

Respect for
commercial opportunities ( WP:NFCC#2)

There are no commercial opportunities. This image shows the outcome of research conducted 20 years ago. The model has been used and adapted since this time.
