PORTRAIT OF A LADY BELIEVED TO BE MARION FRENCH oil on canvas 24 x 20 in. (61 x 51 cm.)

PROVENANCE: Mrs. Alexander who was related to the Sands family of Philadelphia and Washington Her son. Purchased for the above circa 1966 by the present owner.

NOTE:

The sitter is believed to be Marion French who was married to James Hoban Jr. Her sister, Henrietta, was married to Benjamin Franklin Sands, the great grandfather of the present owner.
