English: The national, quadrilingual and official insignia of the Belgian Red Cross consists of a white octagon with a red outline, with the universal Red Cross emblem at its center, and the words 'Belgian Red Cross' in the three national languages of Belgium and in English: 'Croix-Rouge de Belgique' (French), 'Belgisches Rotes Kreuz' (German), 'Belgian Red Cross' (English) and 'Belgische Rode Kruis' (Dutch).
It has been used on Belgian Red Cross uniforms for several decades (from the 1980s at the latest). Since the 2020s, it has mainly been used on the uniforms of the Brussels-Capital Committee, because of its four-language inscriptions, and of the German-speaking Community. In the rest of Wallonia, the quadrilingual badge is used to a lesser extent on high-visibility uniform elements. The Flemish Community (Rode Kruis Vlaanderen) has completely renounced the use of any national emblem.
