Italiano: Gli Iconoclasti di Domenico Morelli è un quadro (olio su tela, cm 262 x 213) che si trova a Napoli nel Museo di Capodimonte (inv. PS 74), nella Galleria dell' Ottocento. Vi è rappresentato il monaco bizantino San Lazzaro che, al tempo delle persecuzioni iconoclaste dell'VIII secolo sotto Leone III l'Isaurico, viene scoperto a dipingere immagini sacre e sta per subire il taglio della mano. Il frate è in realtà un simbolo degli ideali liberali, mentre i persecutori alludono ai poliziotti della guardia borbonica. Attraverso questo episodio di storia sacra Morelli raffigura le istanze libertarie e risorgimentali espresse e poi soffocate nei moti del 1848.
