English: The Gouden Leeuw at the Battle of Texel. It was a naval battle near Den Helder between a Dutch and a Franco-English fleet on August 11, 1673. It was the last major battle of the Third Anglo-Dutch War. The Gouden Leeuw (Golden Lion) was the flagship of Lieutenant Admiral Cornelis Tromp. Painting made by Willem van de Velde (II), 1687.
