The arms were granted on June 13, 1960. The arms are a combination of a canting bear and the arms of the Lords of Nopping. The latter family ruled the town in the Middle Ages and their toms are still present in the local church.
Deutsch: Blasonierung:„In Silber, unter einem goldenen (gelben) Giebel ein rotbewehrter schwarzer Bär, mit den Vorderpranken ein unter einem goldenen (gelben) Giebel von Schwarz und Silber schrägrechts geteiltes Schildlein haltend.“
Das Wappen wurde der Gemeinde von der Salzburger Landesregierung am 13. Juni 1960 verliehen. Es ist abgeleitet vom Wappen der Herren von Nopping, welche den Ort im Mittelalter regierten. Der Bär ist gleichzeitig "
redend" (siehe z.B.
Bern). Der kleine Schild ist das der Herren von Truna (= Traun).
