Summary

Description
English: Graph of the global stock of electric vehicles through 2020, based on data from the International Energy Agency.

Archive of data source page: https://web.archive.org/web/20210429190733/https://www.iea.org/reports/global-ev-outlook-2021
Archive thereof: https://web.archive.org/web/20230512122042/https://www.iea.org/reports/global-ev-outlook-2023/trends-in-electric-light-duty-vehicles
  • Uploader purposely used different dataset in Version 2, as buses and light commercial vehicle count is relatively insignificant compared to the comparison of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) for major regions of the world.
  • Most SVG code was automatically generated by the "vertical bar charts" spreadsheet linked at User:RCraig09/Excel to XML for SVG. Because the spreadsheet currently only handles six data series, in this file, the first four data series were included in a first spreadsheet, and a second spreadsheet used the final four data series "placed atop" the sum of the first four data series, to allow an eight-data series bar chart to be formed by copying and pasting the SVG paths from the second spreadsheet to the first. Minor additions and adjustments were made in a text editor.
