Underway prior to World War I.

Formerly named Katoomba, then Rivera, this yacht was delivered to the Navy on 10 June 1917 and commissioned on 14 July 1917 as USS Emeline (SP-175). Decommissioned on 19 May 1919 and sold on 22 September 1920, she was later named Katharine R.
