June 1864: samen met 14 andere van het chirurgijnsgilde afkomstige schilderijen, voor fl 6000,- van Schouten gekocht door een Commissie van Kunstliefhebbers, kunstenaars en geneeskundigen en door deze commissie aan de stad geschonken.
1864: Daarna geëxposeerd in het Athenaeum Illustre op het Singel en in het Paleis voor Volksvlijt;
ca. 1877-1885: Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten, Oudemanhuispoort;
1885-1926: Bruikleen aan Rijksmuseum,
