Original file (2,663 × 3,145 pixels, file size: 12.69 MB, MIME type: image/png)
Note: This picture is NOT a duplicate of File:Illustrated War News, Dec. 23, 1914, page 38, left side - Darwan Sing Negi.jpg: This is a lossless copy. Lossless files are important in order to allow further editing, but Wikipedia has a display bug where PNGs are not sharpened by the thumbnailer, meaning JPEGs will look better. As such, both formats are needed.
Description |
Original caption:
Due to the arrangement of the page (See File:Illustrated War News, Dec. 23, 1914, page 38, complete, partial restoration.png) including the caption would have unbalanced the image. Please see that file to confirm text. Note: The blue-green colour is accurate; the Illustrated War News appears to have used a variety of inks; I'm not sure if this represents the apparently varied printing processes they used, or what. | ||||||||||||||
