Deutsch: Die zwei silbernen Spitzen in Schwarz im oberen Feld entsprechen dem Wappen der Familie von Riemhofen, die von mindestens 1696 bis 1752 Inhaberin der Hofmark Wurmsham war; ihr Wappen wurde stellvertretend als Hinweis auf die Geschichte von Wurmsham als adliger Niedergerichtsbezirk und deren wechselnde Besitzer herausgegriffen. Bischofsstab und Salzkufe gelten als Attribute des heiligen Rupert und erinnern an den Patron der Kirche von Wurmsham, der einer alten Überlieferung zufolge die Gründung eines Urklosters im Dorf Münster (früher Gemeinde Pauluszell) initiiert haben soll, das zum Ausgangspunkt der Kolonisation zwischen Rott und Vils und der Gründung einer Reihe von Orten mit dem Namensgrundwort -zell wurde. Das Schwert, Attribut des heiligen Paulus, symbolisiert sowohl den Ortsnamen als auch das Patrozinium Pauli Bekehrung der dortigen Kirche. Die Kombination der Figuren verweist zudem auf die Bildung der heutigen Gemeinde Wurmsham aus den bis 1978 selbstständigen Gemeinden Wurmsham und Pauluszell; in die Gemeinde Pauluszell waren schon 1976 Teile der aufgelösten Gemeinde Ruprechtsberg eingemeindet worden.
