Deutsch: Im Schildfuß ein geteiltes Wappen. Die obere Hälfte ist in Blau und Gold geschachtet. In der unteren Hälfte in Grün zwei gekreuzte silberne Hacken. Über diesem Schild vor blauem Himmel die silberne Ganz-Figur des heiligen Michael als Drachentöter.
Der Ort gehörte im Mittelalter zur vorderen Grafschaft Sponheim, kam nach deren Erlöschen in Gemeinschaftsbesitz von Baden und Kurpfalz. Seit 1707 bis Ende des 18. Jhds. war die Kurpfalz alleiniger Ortsherr. Das teilweise "redende" Wappenbild mit den Hacken und dem blau-goldenen Schach-Muster aus dem Wappen der Grafen von Sponheim ist durch ein 1584 und 1604 nachweisbares Gerichtssiegel überliefert (Original Siegelabdruck im Staatsarchiv Darmstadt, Gipsabdruck im Staatsarchiv Mainz). Der heilige Michael ist der örtliche Kirchenpatron, der auf Wunsch der Gemeinde mit dem historischen Wappenbild verbunden werden sollte. Für die Tingierung waren außer dem Sponheim-Wappen keine Vorbilder vorhanden.
