Deutsch: Im Jahre 1930 zeigte das Gemeinde-Dienstsiegel eine naturalistische Darstellung der Pfarrkirche. Mit Beratung durch die Archivdirektion Stuttgart wurde 1962 das jetzige Wappen festgelegt. Es enthält einen Dreiberg, der auf die exponierte Lage der Pfarrkirche hinweisen soll. Schlüssel und Schwert sind die Attribute der Heiligen Petrus und Paulus, die die Patrone des Klosters Weißenau gewesen sind. Die vorliegende Kombination eines Schwertes und zweier Schlüssel ist vom Wappen dieses Klosters abgeleitet. Sie erinnert daran, dass Bodnegg seit dem 13. Jahrhundert diesem Kloster gehörte, dem seit 1473 auch die Pfarrkirche inkorporiert war. Das Innenministerium verlieh das Wappen und die Flagge am 25. September 1962.
