Español: Dos ataifores almohades de arcilla del castillo de Alarcos. El de la derecha se trata de un recipiente abierto, circular y de gran tamaño, de pasta rosada y vidriado. Dios aparecería representado por su mano y antebrazo, dentro de la bóveda celeste. El anillo en el dedo meñique hace alusión al juramento de fidelidad que une a los creyentes musulmanes con su Dios, Alá. Las dos aves que flanquean la mano podrían ser dos palomas que simbolizarían el fervor de los creyentes hacia Dios. Técnica vidriado, pintado y torneado. Dimensiones: Altura = 15,2 cm; Diámetro máximo = 38 cm; Diámetro mínimo = 12,7 cm. Siglo XII-XIII. |
