Som en lĂ„ng udde kan morĂ€nryggen följas ut i VĂ€nern, och den fortsĂ€tter under vattenytan till andra sidan sjön. Revet, som egentligen Ă€r en Ă€ndmorĂ€n, bildades under ett ovanligt lĂ„ngt stillestĂ„nd av inlandsisens tillbakasmĂ€ltande för 12 500 â 11 500 Ă„r sedan. StillestĂ„ndet berodde pĂ„ en sista ordentlig köldperiod under istidens slutskede. ĂndmorĂ€nen ingĂ„r i en lĂ„ng serie av ryggar som kan följas Ă€ven i Norge och Finland och markerar slutet pĂ„ istiden. Klimatet blev dĂ„ snabbt varmare och isen smĂ€lte bort.
