Eric Kissinger (born August 2, 1986, in Indianapolis, Indiana) is an American Soccer player who played for the Dayton Dutch Lions and Dayton Dynamo. He currently works as a teacher at The Miami Valley School.
Kissinger played 4 years of soccer at Haverford College in Haverford, Pennsylvania.
Kissinger joined the Dayton Dutch Lions in 2010 for their debut season in the USL Premier Development League. [1] He had his best season in 2011 with 4 goals in 30 games. [2] He was one of the club's longest-serving players, active for their first five years in existence. [3]
Kissinger was on the inaugural roster for the Dayton Dynamo's revival in 2016. [4] The team played in the NPSL.
For nearly the entirety of his playing career, Kissinger also coached for the Dayton Dutch Lions youth academy program. [5] Kissinger also coached at The Miami Valley School, a private high school in Kettering, Ohio, for whom Kissinger had played in his youth career. He eventually became the varsity head coach in 2013. [6]
In 2015, Kissinger assumed the role of player-coach for the Dutch Lions. [3] In 2019, Kissinger became head coach for the Dutch Lion's Women's Team in their return to the WPSL. [2] [7] The team finished last in the Ohio Valley Conference with one win in ten games. [8]
