Eradi is a subcaste of the Samantan Nair community from the Indian state of Kerala. [1] The Samoothiri ( Zamorin), the erstwhile monarchs and hereditary rulers of the kingdom of Kozhikode, belong to this subcaste. [2] [3] They derive their name from the province of Eranad, where they were the ruling chiefs. [4] [5]
