The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Ankara ( Indonesian: Kedutaan Besar Republik Indonesia di Ankara; Turkish: Endonezya Cumhuriyeti Ankara Büyükelçiliği) is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Turkey. [1] The embassy is currently located at Hilal Mahallesi, Sukarno Caddesi. No:24 D:1. (formerly named Hollanda Street) 06550, Cankaya, Ankara. Previously, it was located at 10 Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar Street (formerly named Abdullah Cevdet Street [2]) in Çankaya, Ankara. [3] Indonesia also has a consulate general in Istanbul. [4]
The first Indonesian ambassador to Turkey was Subiyakto (1959–1964). [5] [6] The embassy opened a year earlier in 1958 with Baharsjah as Chargés d'affaires. [7] The current ambassador, Achmad Rizal Purnama , was appointed by President Joko Widodo on 26 June 2023. [8]
