Tiernan came to attention as a stand-up in the UK and Ireland. As of 2019 [update], she has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe 9 times. [8] She was a panellist on The Panel. [9] She performed on Stuart Lee's Alternative Comedy Experience. [10] She wrote and performed sketches for three seasons of Irish Pictorial Weekly. [1] [11] Her 2007 show was called "Help".
