Elba Island is an island in the Detroit River. [2] It is in Wayne County, in southeast Michigan. Its coordinates are 42°06′09″N 83°08′51″W / 42.10250°N 83.14750°W, [1] and the United States Geological Survey gave its elevation as 591 ft (180 m) in 1980. [1] Numerous types of fish spawn at the island, including northern pike, [3]: 10 goldfish, [3]: 11 carp, [3]: 13 minnow, [3]: 17 channel catfish, [3]: 19 bullhead catfish, [3]: 19 white bass, [3]: 22 and white crappie. [3]: 25
