Durai Chandrasekaran is an Indian politician and incumbent Member of the Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu. He was elected four times to the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly as a Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate from Tiruvaiyaru constituency in the 1989, [1] 1996, [2] 2006 [3] and 2016 elections. [4] He lost the seat to P. Kaliyaperumal of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) in the 1991 election [5] and to K. Ayyaru Vandayar of the same party in 2001. [6]
He is Thanjavur Central DMK District secretary.
