Most of the flags used in this table are WP:OR. Descriptions, selective bolding, assuming that the Kurukshetra War was definitely historical, etc. are all dubious from a NPOV. Then there's the question of including skirmishes and operations in the same list as military battles. Lastly, the "Sino-Indian War of 1967"? "The war resulted in the integration of Sikkim into India."?-- Cpt.a.haddock ( talk) (please ping when replying) 14:43, 3 July 2017 (UTC) reply

While I agree that 'skirmishes' should not be termed battles, some of the battles on the list have less than 30 casualities; meanwhile, the death toll for the 1967 conflict is in triple digits (with the highest estimate at 400-500). Other points, I get. Thanks for clarying WP:OR content in this article -- Coconut1002 ( talk) 11:00, 5 July 2017 (UTC) reply

Page moved back

I moved the page to its original title since Indian can refer to the entire Indian subcontinent or whatever shows Indian-ness. We haven't included any wars that were fought in Afghanistan (Durranis) and Persian wars in Afghanistan, Pakistan. If we are going to include them then "Indian subcontinent" would be fair. Page has been renamed as List of Indian subcontinent Wars Soldier stories ( talk) 16:21, 22 September 2022 (UTC) reply

Lack of sources, incorrect links, etc, etc

This article is a mish-mash of unsourced and poorly, if not blatantly incorrect, linking to non-battle articles. I believe this article should be deleted or moved to an editor's sandbox to be properly sourced, linked, and then re-submitted for creation. -- Kansas Bear ( talk) 16:55, 7 September 2021 (UTC) reply
