More manufacturers
I can't edit much at the moment because reasons, but I've compiled manufacturers in the infoboxes of
contrabass trombone,
cimbasso,
soprano trombone which might be useful, and there's also Orsi and
Amati Kraslice. Might be more accurate and interesting to split Boosey & Hawkes into Boosey & Co. and Hawkes & Sons in the 19c, as they didn't merge until the early 20th. —

Also, is this in chronological order by founding/birth? Should it be alphabetical? Are we doing just people, or manufacturers, or both, and/or should we distinguish them? What does "contemporary" mean, and how is it different from manufacturers listed elsewhere that are still producing instruments (e.g.
Alexander still make french horns and were founded in 1782)? How should we mention or incorporate other lists, e.g.
List of euphonium, baritone horn and tenor horn manufacturers? —

Thanks for adding to the list. My basic idea was to begin this list, so that it would develop into something proper - by the community. Out of historic means (for me), the most interesting are the very early years of brass-makers. The later we go in time, the more "impossible" it will be to make a "simple" listing, merely because there are so many brass-makers. Maybe this endeavour is too much for a listing, and should be abolished?? At the moment, this Wiki-article is "on hold" since there was no "listed sources". (I just added one book. let's see what happens). -
