On the inconvenience of moving the content on the ICHTH to the article on the ICHS

The review explaining the rejection of the page proposal included a recommendation that the content of the draft could be incorporated into the ICHS Wikipedia page, since the ICHTH (International Commission for the History and Theory of Historiography) is affiliated to the ICHS (International Committee of Historical Sciences). I wanted to argue that it would be inconvenient to do so, as the ICHS is a very large organisation that encompasses:

- 55 national committees: https://www.cish.org/index.php/en/members/national-committees/

- 27 international organizations (including the ICHTH): https://www.cish.org/index.php/en/members/international-organisations/

- 4 internal commissions: https://www.cish.org/index.php/en/members/internal-commissions/

On the one hand, it seems difficult to justify presenting detailed information on only one of these sub-organisations on the ICHS page. On the other, it would be impractical to list and present short information on all relevant sub-organisations, as this would result in a very long (and also very boring) article.

The ICHTH is a well-established organisation of recognised scholars. There are Wikipedia articles about many of its members, as can be seen in the draft. And of course it would be easy to list a large number of organisations within the scientific world (not to mention other fields of activity) that have their own Wikipedia entries, even if they are obviously smaller, have much less international capillarity and a smaller number of eminent members than the ICHTH.

Within the ICHS universe, the ICHTH is special because it is the only international commission in the world solely devoted to the philosophy of history and historiography side of historical writing, which arguably is pivotal for the science of history in its entirety.

I hope that these arguments will help the reviewers see that the ICHTH is a significant academic body and that it deserves its own Wikipedia entry.
