Barabás Zsófi ( Budapest, 7 April 1980 –) Hungarian painter.
Zsófi Barabás was born in Budapest in 1980 and graduated from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 2004. [1] She is a prominent figure in contemporary Hungarian art, recognized for her geometric and organic abstract paintings.
Following her graduation from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, she was mentored by Ilona Keserü Ilona in Pécs and pursued further studies in Cambridge and Tokyo. In addition to her artistic career, she is also known for her contributions to the “Everyone Can Draw” book series and various other design collaborations.
The title of her 2017 exhibition, “ Moments of Being,” coincides with the title of Virginia Woolf's autobiographically inspired short story collection published after the author’s death. This title encapsulates those frozen moments when we grasp the essence of reality for fleeting moments. The large-scale images shown in the exhibition depict personal narratives in an abstract form.
Zsófi Barabás grew up in a family of artists. Her father Márton Barabás is a fine artists, her mother is Luca Forray, and her younger brothers are Lőrinc Barabás musician and Benedek Barabás sculptor.

2012 – Zsuzsa Moizer – Zsófi Barabás “Everyone Can Draw” book series, Scolar Kiadó
