Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu (born 27 March 1968) is a women's health and cancer awareness advocate, Founder of MedicAid Cancer Foundation, she advocates for cancer awareness by providing training for healthcare workers, supports the screening, diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients in Nigeria. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] She is a contributor/columnist at Blueprint Newspaper [6] She is also consultant pediatrician, ambassador for World Ovarian Cancer Coalition and director at the Board of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC). Early Life and Education

Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu was born on born 27 March 1968 in Lagos to her mother Rakiya Shinkafi and her father Umaru Shinkafi, a former police officer [12] She had her elementary education in Queens College Lagos and graduated in 1984, she went to Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and obtained an MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine). She obtained a Masters in Pediatrics, Diploma in tropical child health and membership of the Royal college of Pediatrics and Child health in London. [13] [14]

Family Life

Bagudu is married to Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, Nigerian minister of budget and national planning and former governor of Kebbi State, she is blessed with two children. [15]
