Literary Journey

The Girl In My Dream by Syed Parvez Rahaman

Apart from spending time on books, SPR was fond of writing poems and songs. But love for movies and songs preceded them. His journey in the field of literature started with his first story that he wrote after an incident happened on the way to his cousin's home. And it was titled The Bus Journey: Kazipara or Gazipara (2016). Slowly his interest in writing English songs started increasing and resulted in sweet melodious output (2017-18). Then his focus shifted on quotes. As the years passed by, soon he familiarized himself with dreams of another world. He started to have rapid visions of different aspects of life mainly concerning love, comfort, struggle and security. And the glimpse of a mysterious girl in one of his dreams formed his first poem The Girl In My Dream in 2020. One by one many poems were written until they hit the number twenty-eight. Finally, this collection of twenty-eight poems relating to world, love, life, dreams was published in the book World Love Life Dreams: Experiences That Made Me To Write [2] [3] in 2021 and in each poem the author's perspective is added as a short note.

After that he spent his time for his graduation in Suri and gathered experience of a college life which generally involved love, dreams, friends, teachers and various interactions with them and lessons of life and its travelers. At that time his urge to experiment with the manuscript of his new book for deciding and enhancing the editing, typography and style mounted to a height that brought forth his second book Pride and Love Arrogance and Hatred: Lucifer's Poems In The Form Of Letters To SPR [4] [5] in 2022. This book consists of thirty-one poems, each poem having a story to tell, written in a conversational pattern indicating the context of writing the poems. The manuscript of the book follows an unconventional pattern and establishes its own format including uses of creative typography and modern story-telling method.

The year following the publication of Syed's second book, saw a drastic change of pattern in his new book Monticia Mirage [6] in 2023 which consisted only poems based on the themes of realization, reliability, responsibility and importance. And in the same year, a revised edition [7] of his first book was published where there were minor changes like new covers, newly replaced photos, author bio and book detail. During this, the concept of SPR Creations came into existence which is actually a layer used for capturing readers' eyes.
