Shane Quick (born February 28, 1979) is an American concert promoter and entrepreneur whose career spans over two decades in the entertainment industry. He is known for his involvement in organizing Rock the South, one of the largest country music festivals in the United States, [1] and for his leadership in advancing Premier Productions as a prominent global promoter. Quick currently manages the coordination of over 600 shows annually, spanning various locations worldwide [2] [3]

Early life

Shane Quick was born on February 28, 1979, in Cullman, Alabama. Son of Joyce and Millard Quick, he primarily lived with his grandmother, Linnie Mae Quick. [4] Despite facing hardships early in life, including divorce, loss and substance abuse, Quick developed a passion for music during his adolescence, particularly as a drummer in his high school marching band. [5] Although he did not complete high school, Quick later pursued further education at Wallace State Community College before attending the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. [6] [5]

Career

In 1998, Quick founded Real Life Entertainment, with a focus on promoting and supporting Christian events, as a tribute to his late brother. His involvement with the success of Casting Crowns marked a significant milestone in his career. [5]

In 2006, Real Life Entertainment was acquired by Gary Gentry and Roy Morgan, owners of Premier Productions, prominent figures in Christian music promotion. Following the acquisition, Shane Quick's role expanded to co-owner, contributing to Premier Productions' development. [7] Under Quick's leadership, Premier Productions was recognized as the top promoter for faith and family events, [2] ranking fourth nationally and thirteenth globally. [8] [9]

In 2012, Quick played a role in establishing Rock The South festival, initially conceived as tornado relief for Cullman. [10] [11]Over the years, the festival evolved into one of the nation's largest country music events, recognized as the sixth-best country music festival in the United States. [1] [12]Since its inception, the festival has not only provided a significant economic impact [13] [14] to the small city in Alabama [15] [16] [17]but has also hosted country music artists, including Morgan Wallen [18], Chris Stapleton [19], Dierks Bentley, Hank Williams Jr., and more. [20] [21]

In 2018, Quick founded Round Table Management. [6] Both Premier Productions and Round Table Management were acquired by Waterland, a private equity group based in Denmark in 2021. [22]

In 2023, Quick was appointed President of Touring & Strategic Expansion at LiveCo, focusing on developing new opportunities in productions, tours, venues, and festivals. [23] [24]

Achievements

Quick's professional achievements include attending the Grammy Awards alongside partners and staff from Premier Productions showing support for recording artists associated with the company who were nominated, including Lauren Daigle, Tori Kelly, Jesus Culture, and Elevation Worship. [25]
