The Seattle All-City Marching Band (All-City Band or ACB) is a marching band run by the Seattle School District in the U.S. state of Washington. The program runs each summer for high schoolers throughout the Greater Seattle Area. [1]
The All-City Band, founded in 1951 [2] performs in parades throughout the Puget Sound region, as well as occasionally travelling outside Washington for other performances. The band preforms at many Seafair parades, including the Torchlight Parade of which ACB is the longest running participant. [3]
The All-City Band is currently conducted by Dr. Marcus J. Pimpleton. The majority of the staff for the band are previous All-City Band members who volunteer their summers. [4]
The band also holds an annual Band Jam, where the All-City Band, along with other bands perform for each other and the public. The event was founded in 2009 by current director Dr. Marcus J. Pimpleton. [5]
