Sarah Schoengood (born c. 1994) is an American businesswoman and Democratic primary candidate for New Jersey's 3rd Congressional District.
Schoengood was born in Manalapan Township, New Jersey and grew up in its Yorketown community. Later, she studied at Columbia University and at American University. [1] She eventually became co-owner [2] of Carthage Crabs Seafood, a company that supplies crabmeat and seafood from the Mediterranean Sea. [2] [3]
In addition to her business activities, Schoengood has worked as an intern with Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-NJ) and served in the office of Congressman Jerry Nadler (D-NY). She has also worked at the Institute of International Education, a nonprofit. [2] She is currently seeking the Democratic Party's nomination for the 3rd Congressional District in New Jersey. The primary will take place on June 4th, 2024. [4]
