Richard Henne-Ochoa is the Director of the American Indian Studies Research Institute (AISRI) at Indiana University, serving also as an Academic Specialist in the College of Arts and Sciences and Adjunct Faculty in the Anthropology Department. With a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Illinois, his work encompasses a broad range of interests, including linguistic anthropology, ethnography of communication, and sociocultural perspectives on learning and development. His research primarily focuses on Indigenous education, ways of communicating, and efforts toward language reclamation and revitalization.
