Nagnath Kharat (born 6 December 1994) is a indian poet and Indipenadant film makaer based in state of Maharashtra. He is known for his beyond fiction and non fiction cinematic style film. His feature documentary film Nagastyle (2020) is world premiered at 24th Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival, Czech Republic. He shot his short Film debut 'Disad Dis' (Day after Day, 2016) in the village where he was born, using a mobile phone. The film tells a story of three children who live in a region affected by severe droughts and was met with high praise. This short film got a Golden Butterfly Award at Viva Film Festival, Bosnia and Harzegovia, in 2017.
Early life and education Nagnath Kharat was born in Dhangar, a nomadic tribe community in Maharashtra. He completed his Masters from Savitribai Phule Pune Univerity, Pune. When he was 16, he was runner-up in the Pune University's open story Writing Competition. His first Poem collection 'Jambhulachya Kavita' got a grant by Maharashtra State Culture and Literature Academy, in 2014.
