Matilda Whitney Nakayima [1] is a Ugandan musician and empowerment advocate known by her stage name Matty Witty [2] [3] for her contributions to music [4] and advocacy for people with disabilities. [5] Her advocacy extends beyond physical disabilities, [5] encompassing various forms of disadvantage, including gender, prejudice, race, health issues such as cholera, easy access to quality education, and parental guidance.
Early life and education
Matilda Whitney Nakayima was born on April 16, 1996, to the renowned Ugandan musician Joanita Kawalya. [6] [7] [8] She completed her elementary, middle, and high school education before joining Makerere University, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in Music. [9] [10]
Music career
Matty Witty discovered her passion for music [11] at an early age, leading to her initiation into the music scene during her childhood.

- Participant in the Open Day and Dance Festival (2018) by the Department of Performing Arts and Film, Makerere University, and Norwegian University College of Dance, Norway. [12]
