Hazrat Khawaja Hafiz Syed Muhammad Yousuf Ali Aziz ul Auliya Sulaimani is from the maternal Hasani Syed family. After many steps, his forefathers joined with Imam Jafer Sadiq, the Aal e Mohammad (peace be upon him). His father's name was Syed Afzal Ali Shah Jafri Sawati, and his birthday is 13 Rajab 1306 Hijri, corresponding to 14 March 1889.
In 1921, he went to Delhi to join members of the Khilafat Community: Hakeem Ajmal Khan, Nawab Bahadur Yar Jang, Dr. Ansari, and Maulana Mohammad Johar, working for independence. He was a particular Mureed of Hazrat Khwaja Allah Bakhsh, the Grandson of Hazrat Khwaja Shah Suleman Tonsvi, the heir of Chishtia Sulemania, founded in Tonsa Sharif, Dist. Dera Ghazi Khan.
He, being from a poor family, spent his whole life in the propagation of Islam, the religion of Mustafa (peace be upon him). He silently helped widows, orphans, and the poor. He was popular among all scholars and authors. He orally memorized the Holy Quran in nine years and never left Takbeer e Ula for seventy years.
He composed 900,000 verses, including Naat, Ghazal, and poems. He wrote 63 books on different topics, quenching the thirst for marifat & tasawwuf (the way & recognition of God) of thousands. His life was simple and devoted to religious work. His last 18 years were spent in Gulzar Mosque near S.M Law College in Karachi, Pakistan.
A large number of people admired his knowledge and religious education. He dedicated his life to religion and recognition of God and the Prophet's life, exemplifying his love for Rasool Allah P.B.U.H. Renowned scholars suggest that anyone seeking to improve their Urdu should read the books of Hazrat Khwaja Aziz ul Aulia.
He passed away on 7 Ziqad 1395 Hijri, corresponding to 12 November 1975, on a Wednesday, in Gulzar Mosque, Karachi, Pakistan. His grave is in Sherpao Colony, Gandhi, Karachi, Pakistan, where his Urs is celebrated every year on 7 Ziqad.
After his demise, his younger son, Hazrat Khwaja Syed Sadaqat Ali, succeeded him. He took charge of promoting his father's work during his illness. Born on 10 February in Rajasthan, he was raised under his father's care.
His journey of knowledge and literature began early, inheriting a love for poetry. Throughout his service, he diligently promoted his father's mission. For his hard work and efforts, the tomb of Khwaja Aziz ul Aulia shines with glory.
He also ensured his father's books were printed elegantly. He organized seminars and conferences at various times, spreading Khwaja Aziz ul Aulia's message worldwide through his language and service.
He continued his father's mission through his work and efforts. Regarding the Naatia work of Khwaja Aziz ul Aulia, he published them in book form. He passed away on 23 Rabi ul Awwal 1425 Hijri, corresponding to 2004 in Karachi.
His grave lies close to his father's, where his Urs is held annually on 23rd Rabi ul Awwal. Following his death, his elder son, Syed Sadiq Ali Sulemani, continues to serve and carry forward his father and grandfather's mission.
