Faduyile Francis Adedayo MBBS OON (born April 7, 1972) is a Nigerian professor of medicine and a politician who served as Special Adviser on Health to Ondo State Governor from 2022 to January 2024. [1] He is from Ikoya in Okitipupa Local Government of Ondo State. In May 2018, Faduyile was elected President of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) [2]. [3]

Early Life and education

Faduyile was born on April 7, 1972 in Okitipupa, Ondo State, Nigeria where his father Oba(King) Babatunde Faduyile is the Abodi of Ikale-Land. [4]

Faduyile was educated at St. John's School, Okitipupa; Christ School, Ado -Ekiti; Ondo Boys High School, Ondo State. He had his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at College of Medicine, University of Lagos and Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria. He also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Federal University of Technology, Akure. He is a Fellow of both College of Pathologists of East, Central and Southern Africa (COPECSA) and the Medical College of Pathologist in the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria. [5]

Faduyile was appointed as the Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Health by the late Governor Akeredolu Oluwarotimi and was in the position between 2022 and January 24, 2024 when the State Executive Council was dissolved by the new Governor of the state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa. [6] [7] [8]

NMA (Nigeria Medical Association)

Faduyile was the president of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) from 2018 and 2020. [9] [10] [11]

Academics

Faduyile is also a Consultant Pathologist and a Professor at the Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine in the Lagos State University College of Medicine. [5]

Personal Life

Faduyile is happily married with four children.

Awards and honors

Faduyile was conferred with the Nigerian National Honours of officer of the Order of the Niger(OON) by former President Muhammadu Buhari. [12] [13]He is also a recipient of the Presidential Award of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria(PSN). [14] Other honors include:
