Diagnostikare is a healthcare technology company founded in 2019. The company offers a digital platform for virtual-first primary care in Mexico and Latin America. [1]

Overview

Diagnostikare was founded in 2019 by two brothers, Rafael López, an Information Systems Engineer, and Rodrigo López, a Medical Doctor. Since its inception, Dr. Rodrigo López has been serving as the Medical Director and Rafael López as the Executive Director of the company. [1] Diagnostikare has secured funding from several venture capital firms, such as StartUp Health, Builders VC, and Plug and Play Ventures.

The company provides a digital health platform for virtual-first primary care services, including health counseling, prescription fulfillment, lab test referrals, mental health support, and digital health empowerment tools through digital technology, artificial intelligence, and clinical service providers in Mexico and Latin America. [1] [2] [3] Diagnostikare collaborates with employers and engages channel partners such as insurance companies, insurance brokers, and other service providers to provide comprehensive healthcare services to their employees, clients, and users respectively. In 2020, Diagnostikare launched a free application, TestCovid19.mx, a free application that employs an algorithm to analyze user-provided information across physical, nutritional, and psychological dimensions for triaging COVID cases. This data processing facilitates telehealth visits with doctors and psychologists. [3]

Digital health contributions

As a member of the Transform Health Coalition and FUNSALUD, Diagnostikare participated in the Digital Health Week in 2023. The event kicked off at the Chamber of Deputies in Mexico, focusing on the theme "Digital Health in Mexico: Progress and Challenges." Throughout the week, a wide range of topics were discussed, including the role of technology in achieving universal health access with quality and inclusion; physicians' perspectives on the digital health revolution; the application of artificial intelligence for early diagnosis of diseases such as cancer and diabetes; and the critical importance of personal data protection among other subjects. [4] In the May–June 2023 issue (Vol. 10) of 'Revista Ciencia Cofepris', a scientific magazine from COFEPRIS, Diagnostikare published a research article exploring the impact of digital health in corporate environments. [5]

Awards and recognition

In 2022, Diagnostikare was recognized as a finalist in the Mass Challenge zero-equity acceleration program for startups in Latin America. [6] Additionally, the company has been consistently listed among the 'Top 100 PRO Startups' ('Las 100 PRO by Google Cloud') by PRO Network for the years 2021, 2022, and 2023. [7] Diagnostikare also received the UCSF Digital Health Award for Employer Prevention and Wellness in the Rising Star Category at HLTH 2022 in Las Vegas. [8] Furthermore, Diagnostikare was listed as one of the Latin America Health Tech 50 by Holon IQ. [9]
