Bolt Business is a corporate services product launched by mobility company Bolt in 2018. The service primarily allows companies to arrange corporate ground travel using Bolt’s ride-hailing, car-sharing, and micromobility services. Bolt Business is available in over 40 markets worldwide. [1]

As of October 2023, Bolt Business is available in over 40 markets worldwide [1] and over 30,000 companies [2] are using the service.

In 2023, Bolt Business launched Bolt Food for Business [3], allowing companies to order meals and groceries with Bolt Food and Bolt Market.

History

Mobility company Bolt launched their business-to-business offering in December 2018.

In 2020, Bolt launched the Ride Booker platform as part of Bolt Business, allowing clients to schedule Bolt rides in advance from their desktop.

In 2023, Bolt announced that Bolt Business had a record-breaking year of growth. Between January and December 2022, Bolt Business increased its GMV by 425% [4].

Bolt Business expanded beyond mobility in 2023 by launching a food and grocery delivery service, Bolt Food for Business. [3]

2023 also saw the launch of Bolt Business launch Coupons [5] — allowing companies to create discount codes for their employees and customers to use with Bolt services. As of 2023, this service is only available to companies in Estonia.

Services

Bolt Business account

With a Bolt Business account, businesses can manage company-wide ground travel from an online dashboard. By logging into the dashboard, account admins can control how employees travel, get visibility of all orders, and pay for company-wide travel.

Employees added to the company Bolt Business account see the employer as a payment method in their Bolt app.

Bolt Work Profile

Since 2021, individuals have been able to create a Work Profile in the Bolt app, allowing them to pay for Bolt services with a company card. Users can add a work payment card, use Bolt services for work purposes, and get invoices, which they can use to claim back their travel expenses.

In 2021, Bolt announced that users could connect the Work Profile with SAP Concur [1]. This was followed in 2022 by integrations with more expense management services, including Expensify, Rydoo, and Zoho Expense.

Ride Booker

Bolt Business launched the Ride Booker platform in 2021 [6]. Ride Booker is an online tool for booking travel with Bolt’s ride-hailing service for other people, either immediately or ahead of time. The rider doesn’t need to download the Bolt app, as an SMS containing the trip details is sent to their phone.

A Ride Booker API is available as a plug-in, allowing third-party companies to provide final destination transport via their own products.

Bolt Food for Business

Bolt Business began offering a food delivery service in 2023 called Bolt Food for Business [3]. The service was first launched in Tallinn, Estonia, before expanding across Estonia.
